@ikt Does disabling the wheel animation fix this then? I will test this out later. The custom camera is a big improvement over the default view, being able to align the dashboard to the wheel is worth compromising the audio(mostly)
Traffic lights? What traffic lights ;-D
@JohnDoey72 - I've noticed this too, I've been looking for any kind of mod that would let you fine tune the audio similar to what a racing game may have(engine/road/environment), but I haven't found anything.
If anyone is aware of an audio balancing mod let us know.
@ikt - What 'RIGHT' button is supposed to skip? I ended up going in and editing the ini file to map my shifter, but I'm curious if I was missing something. Could it be that I'm using a XONE controller to bring up the menu, but mapping controls for the wheel. This works fine for all other analog/button inputs for the wheel setup.
I can no longer complete the H Pattern shifter button setup(TH8A) with this new update. When it gets to 'assign button for gear 8' I try skipping by pressing 'RIGHT' but it doesn't skip. I've tried the wheel's d-pad, the XONE controller, and the keyboard's arrow/numpad. I end up needing to hit 'BACKSPACE' and this doesn't save any of the inputs. I've had this working previously, any idea on what's going on?
@Makinolo thanks for taking the time to help out here. I think I might just go with an Echelon, as I won't be using this solely for GTA. I had actually set up a "gaming cycle" and mapped the input from the magnetic switch to 'pedal'. It also has a swiveling handlebar, but there isn't a 1:1 feedback.
The limitation of this is matching the speed(and low magnetic resistance), the game provides 'resistance' by requiring you to pedal more. I've also used this to 'frame advance' on bike riding videos(limited success), so I am used to less functionality and creating workarounds.
If I get something within my budget to work with Zwift/Peloton, I think I'd be fine with a cadence sensor for controlling speed in GTA.
@Makinolo - I was looking at the 'Supported Indoor Bikes' on Zwift's website as a compatibility check. It looks like anything that controls the resistance starts at $3K, which is way over my budget. My other option was to go with a Kickr Snap.
Does anyone know if this works with an Echelon EX3 and the qdomyos-zwift app? This is a 'bridge' app that allows Zwift to control resistance on the Echelon EX3/4/5 models. I'm not sure if this 3rd party app can pass this information to the mod. I'm in the research step of deciding on a 'smart bike', and having this option along with Zwift would make the EX3 my top pick.
