Hi @MissySnowie, it was a great idea, but I think the main issue is when you combine the interior ydr with the exterior ydr, then the mlo timecycles/portals etc.. all react differently to the interior mesh as it's now essentially an exterior prop clipping through into the mlo bounds, which is why all the specular textures and shading had became distorted inside, you could still make a version with all the exterior ydrs combined but leave the interior ydr separate. Keep up the good work.
@t1dowd I hear you on the long process of making a mlo, I was one of the three guys (Raymax) that made the Stark Mansion mod (Full mlo) https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/stark-mansion Nearly drove us all mad getting everything done on such a large build, everything from 3ds mesh work, to portal and room setup, exterior and interior collision, texturing, scripts etc.. We all put some serious hours in. Lot of fun though!
Just a note on meimei taking your video down, it's not out of spite, he's a gd dude that helps a lot of modders, It was confusing to see the first and only video, be for a completely unrelated paid mod, I've seen lots of stuff taken down for similar reasons. You are allowed though, to put a link in the read me of your mod download, linking to your patreon and projects, another option would be to make a video for this mod and then in the video have a link to your beach mansion 2.0 video. All the best dude.
@t1dowd Good to know you are still working out how you are going to price things going forward, I think a lot depends on how often you are going to upload on your patreon, take for instance the modder "guillaume56" his patreon is "Leuge56" and while he only charges £8.50 a month plus VAT, his current patrons have climbed all the way upto 228 people, which is pretty impressive and shows that sometimes good prices bring on many more patrons, Your work looks great, tbh the max I would pay for the beach house mlo would be £20 on patreon, people with fivem servers would certainly pay a little more. I guess though it's a balancing act on setting a nice price that will bring you plenty of loyal patrons that will stick around.
Damn I got excited when I saw the video, assumed you had released that beach one, which judging by the mirror portals in the video on the games & grapgics channel, is a full mlo, not against people selling mods on patreon as it's far better than just tebex with it's fiivem only encryptions, but £47 for one month patreon with one mod is pretty expensive.
This is absolutely incredible dude! One of the best we've seen on 5mods, the outside roof space is especially amazing, you can find ways around the pool going all the way down to the ground that you can look into and I think once you've done that I know some guys would be kind enough to write you a script for elevators and garage teleports to avoid menyoo. The only thing I don't like about your stunning mod is the change in dimensions at the top of Eclipse tower, looks ugly and strange as hell from the outside of the building, the roof and mlo size are close enough to Eclipse rim size that you can attach your build naturally into the top of eclipse so it looks like it's supposed to be there, we did a little test editing the flats ydr/props and all of the lods to make eclipse roof completely flat, so your build can just drop straight ontop, if you need these files to save you the trouble let me or meimei know, love it though mate, one of the best ever! Hope you make more and great to see someone making mods this good for the community.
Man this is incredible, makes it the best garage on the game, drive in garage but with full save features.... Awesome! Better than the ones made for GTA online, really nice touches in the penthouse too.
