About
This mod tries to simulate the vehicle looting experience seen in all of the Watch_Dogs games whereas when you enter a vehicle, you might loot the glovebox and get a random item that can be sold at a pawn shop. However, as you might expect, the mod differs from that system in some minor ways. For example, you don't only find money and sell-able items, you can also find weapons or food that restores your health.
How To Use
There's not much to be said on how to use this mod but basically if you enter a vehicle you will get loot, or just cash. If you get loot you will have to travel to a pawn shop to sell it by walking up to the marker and pressing E when prompted to.
To manually add custom pawn shops just use the existing ones as a template and be sure to add commas between the pawn shops. Same idea goes for adding custom loot.
To automatically add custom pawn shops to the mod, enable dev mode in the config and press Shift+L, a shop will then be placed at your current location. To remove the shop you will have to manually do it by removing the entry from the json
Features

@Starman0620 oh, right on. so does the moldy burger i just got gonna kill me? LOL JK.
so the stuff that you loot, like rings and things, they all get stored until you sell the at the pawn shop?
thanks again for making this mod. it's really neat. if you could make it so the player car doesn't get looted that would be a great update. but it's definitely great as is.
@AwfulRemystemple Believe me, I've tried to make it so it can't get looted but I can't think of any way to do it. The best option I could give you is to just add the model altogether to the blacklist. The issue with that is that it'll make it so ones you find normally are un-lootable
@Starman0620 well i'm short on cash and it doesn't feel too "cheaty" so i'm gonna use it i'm loving the addition to the game. Thanks.
if emergency vehicles can't be looted would it be possible to class the saved car as an emergency car? i don't know any thing about making mods, but i just wanted to toss that out there.
@AwfulRemystemple Nope. I don't even think the latest version of the mod has the emergency vehicle stuff because I was having issues getting it to work (I'll fix it eventually if it isn't there).
@Starman0620 good luck bro. i'll be following.
@Starman0620 An idea, is it possible to add the gang attack and the call police on somebody features in WD2? It sounds very simple and might be cool for a mod for GTA, so, could you make it or consider the idea?
@wantyourntuslicked I believe some existing Watch_Dogs mod add that feature. I couldn't give you an exact name though, I just remember seeing something like that a few years back
Can you remove the ability to loot the cars of the main characters?
Cool mod! I have some suggestions. 1. Could make it so that vehicles spawned with Menyoo don't have stuff in the glovebox? I think it could be pretty simple to implement because every vehicle spawned by Menyoo spawns with a Yankton license plate, with the letters MENYOO on it. 2. I don't think bicycles have gloveboxes :)
@LegendOfRacers For your issue regarding bicycles, I added the blacklist for that purpose since it would be way too hard to restrict every vehicle that needs it in the code so that's on the user to do.
As for menyoo vehicles, I might add that but it still wouldn't work for all menyoo vehicles as some vehicles don't have a plate and if someone saves a vehicle with a custom plate it wouldn't work.
cool
How to edit the json.dll? thanks
@CMAC86 You don't...?
@Starman0620 can you make a script like this but for armed robberies? Like you can rob a pedestrian for money or phones or jewelry and stuff?
@PatchEye I'll think about it but might be a while before I get to doing anything. I've already got two mods in progress right now among other things I've got to work on
Completely understand. No rush, just a suggestion.
Pretty good, this is the literal definition of Grand Theft Auto lol.
I like this, really cool idea. Would be awesome if we could bring up an inventory to show all of the crap that we have managed to gather & how much it's all worth (before we cash it in at the pawn shop)
Whaet other than cars can be looted?
