Basic Description: (Version 2.0)
What this mod is all about: (THIS IS NOT A SCRIPT)
Sifu Combat Mod features 13 assignable brawling styles inspired by the game and world of Sifu reimagined in the world of GTA V!!

INSTALLATION (HOW TO INSTALL): (read everything carefully please)
1. Install game directory files from step 2 folder.
2. Open OpenIV, go to the "tools" tab, click on "Package Installer". Double click the OIV file "SifuCombatMod.OIV" located in step 3 folder and then click "install" and "install into mods folder".
Or/ Simply drag and drop the OIV file anywhere into Open IV, with edit mode activated, and install into mods folder.
Manual install is also available for advanced modders.

BACKUP YOUR FILES:
I recommend you backup your update.rpf, common.rpf and x64c files before installing this mod. They are hefty files so be aware of your computer space, but this will help make sure you can revert quickly to previously edited files without reverting back to vanilla via uninstall package.
YOUR GAMECONFIG WILL BE REPLACED BY THE OIV's WITH THIS MOD, HOW TO UPGRADE ORIGINAL?:
This mod changes your gameconfig automatically to have the one necessary for this mod and uninstaller will add vanilla config. (After joining the discord community below, go to gameconfig-manual-edits) to manually edit your existing gameconfig if you desire to keep your previous config. (gameconfig contained in this mod was built from the ground up from limitless vehicles with author permission) or go to mod-fixes channel of our discord community to install updated test files. (If provided)

BS_CAPOEIRA_MASTER "Originally based off of Flash Kick, this style was made inspired by the enemy type. Features a form of Brazilian Martial Arts."
BS_BRUTE "Inspired by Kyroki's bodyguards and is a close resemblance of a form of CQC combat."
BS_BIG_GUY "Inspired by the big guy enemy types of Sifu and perfect for strong characters."

BS_ABSOLVER_BUILD "Inspired by Slocap's Genre and from ancient lore of Sifu, this is a style of Winfall varient as well as other fan favorite moves included throughout."
BS_AGILE_SIFU "Inspired by Sifu's agile moveset modifier and mixes Sifu's original moves with a wide variety of kicks."
BS_FLASH_KICK "Now separated from capoeira, this style was inspired by the Flash Kick enemies of Sifu"

-Updated Gameconfig to latest game version. Special Thanks to KRYST4LCLR!!
-Rebuilt all brawling styles using my sleeping dogs combat mod as a base increasing number of max styles from 7 to 13!!
-Gave each style their respective names.
-Separated the original Bak Mei moveset into 3 distinct styles making BS_SIFU the official main protagonist style! (Sifu, Yang, Old Sifu)
-Added new Yang brawling style inspired by Sifu's Brother style and added various melee functions that resemble his BOSS stats. ;D
-Added new Old Sifu brawling style that resembles Sifu and Yang's father's moveset as well as combining a mix of wing chun and Sifu's beta Bak Mei moves from the original game!
-Added new Agile Sifu moveset inspired by Sifu's agile moveset modifiers. This takes the original sifu style and adds various kickand alternate striking combos!
-Added new Absolver Build moveset inspired by Slocap's game title Absolver. This style resembles heavily absolver's Wind Fall moveset as well as adding a bunch of alternative moves that are fan favorites!
-Added new Flash Kick brawling style! originally this style was the old capoeira style, but now is it's own and best resembles the fearsome and flashy fighters of Sifu!!
-Added new Sifu Brawler move set inspired by Yakuza's Brawler Style! Using authentic animations thanks to Ghost.Terror.'s contributions!!
-Overhauled the Sleeping Dogs Combat mod directional blocks to better fit the sifu theme.
-Overhauled the Sleeping Dogs Combat Mod evade system to better reflect that of Sifu evade functions.
-Overhauled the melee weapons to now have their own move sets. This includes the Sifu melee moves as seen in the original Sifu Combat Mod as well as the new moves from Absolver's windfall style.
-All weapon types have new unique combos available. Brass Knuckles using an Absolver's knuckle weapon moveset theme. Knives & Machete's using their own depending on the style you have assigned. Hatchets also have the same. Depending on the style the two handed and one handed clubs will resemble staffs, absolver stick weapon builds, or grunt enemy bat attacks. (Not exactly distinct to each style, but has much better variety)
-All melee weapon combos have been overhauled to have better flowing movesets.
-Fixed missing audio from some original sifu and other takedowns.
-Removed forced audio on specific attack animations so there are no longer moments where sounds play when not connecting with enemies.
-There are no localized map crashes and works with missions as of game test with version 1.0.3411.0!
-Overhauled original light and heavy control systems for all styles. (added new and improved heavy attacks as well as original tweaks)
-Added NEW CONTROL feature where you can have heavy and light combos. After blocking an attack press the heavy attack button "RT(Controller) or Left Click" INSTEAD of the light attack "B (Controller) or R" to use a heavy counter move emitting extra damage!
-Added new taunts, support attacks, takedowns, hit reactions and AI intros thanks to Ghost.Terror.'s amazing animation retarget contributions from titles such as "Yakuza 0, A Way Out and Sifu!"
-Due to fan approval of my Sleeping Dogs Combat Mod, I removed the ability for AI enemies to emit takedown moves on the player when they are not in action state. This allows for longer fights and relies more on AI and player evades to stay alive during combat.
-Added yang's special long distant attack move as a running strike move allowed when running (holding shift, or double tapping A on controller) and pressing RT (controller) or Left Click!
-Added Sifu's special long distant attack move as a running strike move allowed when running (holding shift, or double tapping A on controller) and pressing RT (controller) or Left Click!
-Removed dazed reactions for all styles except BS_AI "weak grunt style" and allowed for BS_AI to have a chance to plea during combat after successful hits.
-Overhauled Blocking Animations with animations from Martial Arts Master unreal engine animation set converted by Kaz productions!

-Overhauled BS_FIRE_DISCIPLE to resemble closer to the style from Sifu, but also with some added custom attacks using unused Sifu Animations.
-Improved AI of ALL fighting styles. (AI can now dodge, evade and use NEW support attacks for all brawling styles) -Animations varies based on assigned styles
-Updated and improved on the block mechanic that accompanies the dodge left and dodge right functions and add new Unreal Engine Animations w/root motion. (Hold/Press X on controller at the right time to force a block reaction then press B to initiate a counter)
-Further Improved homing of various style attacks to not zip characters around, but instead give more reality to movements.
-Added a NEW brawling style named BS_BODY_GUARD which features Gun Fu, Judo and various CQC animations retargeted from the game Absolver, Sifu and Unreal Engine. (Gun fu takedowns still do not have fx, but they are available at least and function like takedowns) Resembles that of John Wick and Kuroki's Body Guards.
-Added new custom assignable walk styles. (Triad, Wei Shen, Hogwarts Legacy "used in Sifu Showcase", and WIP Sifu Walk "Glitchy")
-Improved on all melee wpn counters, takedowns and combos. BS_BAK_MEI has Sifu Staff animations, and Blades have Sifu Blade combos.
-Fixed Melee Wpn directionals to better land properly on incoming enemies.
-Overhauled BS_FLASH_KICK to resemble better the art of Brazilian Martial Arts! Add various new support attacks for AI as well as counters and combos
-Added Root motion to Various Takedowns to improve playability.
-Overhauled BS_AI base fighting style to be more efficient but lacks combo finishers due to resembling a basic style. Are much quicker however to still pose a challenge. Inspired by Weaker Grunt Enemies from Sifu
-Fixed Ground attacks and Replaced low kicks with proper homing to improve attack contacts
-Added New Unreal Engine AI taunts and intro anims for various styles. (reflects the assigned styles)
-Upgraded Sifu Style to resemble that of Sifu & Yang Movesets "Technically the Master Moveset Modifier" and added new counters and special throws/takedowns.
-Sifu Style has all front facing Knife takedowns (provided by Ferz Denikin) and some Staff/Bat takedowns retargeted by Ferz and myself! :D
-Sifu Staff moveset is available when using two handed guns as well ;D (Causes for some neat reactions)
-All styles have various tweaks to combos and movesets to better improve on function, smoothness and quality. Feel free to check them all out and find out your favorite ones!!

What this mod is all about: (THIS IS NOT A SCRIPT)
Sifu Combat Mod features 13 assignable brawling styles inspired by the game and world of Sifu reimagined in the world of GTA V!!

INSTALLATION (HOW TO INSTALL): (read everything carefully please)
1. Install game directory files from step 2 folder.
2. Open OpenIV, go to the "tools" tab, click on "Package Installer". Double click the OIV file "SifuCombatMod.OIV" located in step 3 folder and then click "install" and "install into mods folder".
Or/ Simply drag and drop the OIV file anywhere into Open IV, with edit mode activated, and install into mods folder.
Manual install is also available for advanced modders.

BACKUP YOUR FILES:
I recommend you backup your update.rpf, common.rpf and x64c files before installing this mod. They are hefty files so be aware of your computer space, but this will help make sure you can revert quickly to previously edited files without reverting back to vanilla via uninstall package.
YOUR GAMECONFIG WILL BE REPLACED BY THE OIV's WITH THIS MOD, HOW TO UPGRADE ORIGINAL?:
This mod changes your gameconfig automatically to have the one necessary for this mod and uninstaller will add vanilla config. (After joining the discord community below, go to gameconfig-manual-edits) to manually edit your existing gameconfig if you desire to keep your previous config. (gameconfig contained in this mod was built from the ground up from limitless vehicles with author permission) or go to mod-fixes channel of our discord community to install updated test files. -Gave each style their respective names.
-Separated the original Bak Mei moveset into 3 distinct styles making BS_SIFU the official main protagonist style! (Sifu, Yang, Old Sifu)
-Added new Yang brawling style inspired by Sifu's Brother style and added various melee functions that resemble his BOSS stats. ;D
-Added new Old Sifu brawling style that resembles Sifu and Yang's father's moveset as well as combining a mix of wing chun and Sifu's beta Bak Mei moves from the original game!

-Added new Absolver Build moveset inspired by Slocap's game title Absolver. This style resembles heavily absolver's Wind Fall moveset as well as adding a bunch of alternative moves that are fan favorites!
-Added new Flash Kick brawling style! originally this style was the old capoeira style, but now is it's own and best resembles the fearsome and flashy fighters of Sifu!!
-Added new Sifu Brawler move set inspired by Yakuza's Brawler Style! Using authentic animations thanks to Ghost.Terror.'s contributions!!
-Overhauled the Sleeping Dogs Combat mod directional blocks to better fit the sifu theme.
-Overhauled the Sleeping Dogs Combat Mod evade system to better reflect that of Sifu evade functions.
-Overhauled the melee weapons to now have their own move sets. This includes the Sifu melee moves as seen in the original Sifu Combat Mod as well as the new moves from Absolver's windfall style.
-All weapon types have new unique combos available. Brass Knuckles using an Absolver's knuckle weapon moveset theme. Knives & Machete's using their own depending on the style you have assigned. Hatchets also have the same. Depending on the style the two handed and one handed clubs will resemble staffs, absolver stick weapon builds, or grunt enemy bat attacks. (Not exactly distinct to each style, but has much better variety)
-All melee weapon combos have been overhauled to have better flowing movesets.
-Fixed missing audio from some original sifu and other takedowns.
-Removed forced audio on specific attack animations so there are no longer moments where sounds play when not connecting with enemies.
-There are no localized map crashes and works with missions as of game test with version 1.0.3411.0!
-Overhauled original light and heavy control systems for all styles. (added new and improved heavy attacks as well as original tweaks)
-Added NEW CONTROL feature where you can have heavy and light combos. After blocking an attack press the heavy attack button "RT(Controller) or Left Click" INSTEAD of the light attack "B (Controller) or R" to use a heavy counter move emitting extra damage!

-Due to fan approval of my Sleeping Dogs Combat Mod, I removed the ability for AI enemies to emit takedown moves on the player when they are not in action state. This allows for longer fights and relies more on AI and player evades to stay alive during combat.
-Added yang's special long distant attack move as a running strike move allowed when running (holding shift, or double tapping A on controller) and pressing RT (controller) or Left Click!

-Updated and improved on the block mechanic that accompanies the dodge left and dodge right functions and add new Unreal Engine Animations w/root motion. (Hold/Press X on controller at the right time to force a block reaction then press B to initiate a counter)
-Further Improved homing of various style attacks to not zip characters around, but instead give more reality to movements.
-Added a NEW brawling style named BS_BODY_GUARD which features Gun Fu, Judo and various CQC animations retargeted from the game Absolver, Sifu and Unreal Engine. (Gun fu takedowns still do not have fx, but they are available at least and function like takedowns) Resembles that of John Wick and Kuroki's Body Guards.
-Added new custom assignable walk styles. (Triad, Wei Shen, Hogwarts Legacy "used in Sifu Showcase", and WIP Sifu Walk "Glitchy")
-Improved on all melee wpn counters, takedowns and combos. BS_BAK_MEI has Sifu Staff animations, and Blades have Sifu Blade combos.
-Fixed Melee Wpn directionals to better land properly on incoming enemies.
-Overhauled BS_FLASH_KICK to resemble better the art of Brazilian Martial Arts! Add various new support attacks for AI as well as counters and combos
-Added Root motion to Various Takedowns to improve playability.
-Overhauled BS_AI base fighting style to be more efficient but lacks combo finishers due to resembling a basic style. Are much quicker however to still pose a challenge. Inspired by Weaker Grunt Enemies from Sifu
-Fixed Ground attacks and Replaced low kicks with proper homing to improve attack contacts
-Added New Unreal Engine AI taunts and intro anims for various styles. (reflects the assigned styles)
-Upgraded Sifu Style to resemble that of Sifu & Yang Movesets "Technically the Master Moveset Modifier" and added new counters and special throws/takedowns.
-Sifu Style has all front facing Knife takedowns (provided by Ferz Denikin) and some Staff/Bat takedowns retargeted by Ferz and myself! :D
-Sifu Staff moveset is available when using two handed guns as well ;D (Causes for some neat reactions)
-All styles have various tweaks to combos and movesets to better improve on function, smoothness and quality. Feel free to check them all out and find out your favorite ones!!

@a012345 I installed my latest version that is available and posted here without crashes on my end. This means that something you had installed prior is incompatible or something you installed after was incompatible. I have updated my game to the latest version and this file works for me without crashes. I don't feel an installation video is necessary where it's a simple OIV installation and the other step is a drag and drop to where GTA V.exe is located.

@jackflomes I am not quite sure what you mean by relaxed, but the next pack is going to be centralized around realism if that's what you mean. Yes the headbutt attacks from IV will be featured as well.

Long time follower of your mods here and your hard work and dedication deserves more love if I'm being honest. However, I wanted to clear up a doubt I had with the game's original, un modded Vanilla hand to hand combat.
I've noticed in your past melee combat mods and probably your very first one where while the animations for punching, kicking, dodging and countering and everything remained unchanged, but the moves that were performed using the game's controls were slightly altered. The best example of this is changing the kick move to moves that are often seen when attempting a failed Takedown and the NPC punching the player in the stomach in retaliation, attempting a take down from behind and being clocked in the face and the failed melee weapon takedowns. I want that instead of the kick animation that initiates when Q is pressed (the button for kicking in a fight). Same I want for NPCs, if they try to kick the player, the animations instead is one of a failed Takedown. If you can help me on this one regarding the file in which such data is located and can probably teach me how to change it up to my preference, I'd be very grateful.

@WolfFire23309 Is this compatible with your Sleeping Dogs Combat mod or am I suppose to only install just one of them? Your combat mods are by far the best hand to hand combat mods made in the history of GTA 5 modding. Thank you for sharing your work!
@Default_Username I remember those animations. Initially, I was limited to only using GTA V animations, and couldn't improve the combat much besides adding in those paired animations. Although they are cool, and I feel like are the best out of Rockstar's original melee combat, I have a lot better and more fitting assets now if that makes sense, so they were replaced in order to fit this pack's theme. This being the Sifu Combat Mod and is inspired from the game sifu. I am however working on Pack #3 which will bring back my original styles I developed for Michael, Trevor and Franklin, as well as the combat and animations from IV and other GTA Franchise inspired move sets. Which for the main three protagonist peds, they will utilize some of GTA V's animations including the original paired failed takedown moves. I suggest for now, check out all of the unique styles this pack has to offer as it sounds like you are only using BS_AI which mimics the very limited and weaker grunt enemy moveset from Sifu. (This is meant to simulate an untrained or weaker enemy type than the others.) I appreciate you taking the time to message your feedback and no worries those animations will return in pack #3!! 🔥🐺🔥
@Envious0000 Appreciate the support!! I am glad to improve on this game, hopefully when GTA VI comes around I won't need to do any extra improvements! ;D As for your questions, these packs only work individually. I used to have them all combined in one when I had my original Ultimate Enhanced Fighting Mod, but I had to split up the content into individual packs due to file size limitations and game breaking bugs/crashes during free roam as a result. It was a blessing in disguise as I have been able to focus on each individual style, update and enhance them further to fit the themes, and the lessoning of the file size gave me more room to develop a new blocking, evade and light/heavy combo system for GTA V! 💯🤘😎

But I just want to finalize and clear up my query by asking that if you can help me by telling me where the list of combat animations from vanilla as well as the controls that activate them are, I'd be really thankful. I wanted to create my own little fighting moves mod for personal use and saw the original one you made, so I had decided to consult you for help since your combat mods are some of the best the community has to offer, both for vanilla and modded from other games. So I believe you definitely know where the list or file which has the list and its controls is located.
And oh by the way, dude, how did college go? Hope you did great and scored well!
@Default_Username Hey! I actually intend on making a full tutorial on all I know regarding Action folder editing and animation addons so people can do just this! I will be helping a close friend of mine learn first as a test, but once he makes his first pack (His being Yakuza Themed) I will post the video I make for him public so everyone can learn! I just have been trying to perfect the blueprint since 2015 regarding action folder, combat controls, animation data as I can! I am glad to hear you have an interest in editing the action folder data! Once the tutorial is posted sometime in the coming months and after I mentor my first student, I will send you a link to the Make Your Move mod template where you can manipulate it without all of the dumb headaches I had to bypass through trial and error from Rockstar's janky system over the years lol. That mod template will be WAY more user friendly and easier to follow once posted.
College went really well actually! I scored High Honors and graduated with a decent GPA! I had fun, definitely bittersweet leaving campus, but I am glad I don't gotta do any more essays and exams! lmao😂 Thank you for asking! 🤘❤
@Default_Username Oh and as for the list of animation data, I will share that with my tutorial. Unfortunately, Rockstar split up a lot of the melee animation data into various YCDS that are melee weapon specific. Some being in melee@unarmed@streamed_core others being in melee@knife@streamed_core or streamed_variations. You can take a look if you want, but I highly suggest waiting for my template to save you the headache of the puzzle that is the action folder itself. Lots of things interlock and have to be manipulated to even allow the animations to play during combat and while only unarmed. (I used to have to force cycling weapons to enable weapon animations for unarmed which was annoying for users and I didn't blame em for feeling that way lol) My mods use their own ycd archives I added to the game to fix these issues, but it's not the only thing I had to do to get them to work properly. My mod template will make it all very simple, and I am honestly excited to get to work on that around my new job schedule and other mod projects, so hopefully with that, my tutorial will be done faster and with heart. :D
