Realistic Melee Mod v.3.7.0
Hello, fellow LSPDFR/GTA5-Mod fans. Are you sick of knocking out your prisoner every time you close out of a menu? Does your officer love to pistol whip suspects with a taser and you've simply had enough? Or maybe you've just wondered what it feels like to relentlessly beat an innocent civilian with your PR-24? With Realistic Melee, you can! This Mod makes all melee attacks less-than-lethal, or removes a weapon's melee abilities completely.
* Punches and kicks no longer kill people or knock them out in one hit. You can still kill people, but it's very realistic.
* Nightstick swings no longer subdue targets unrealistically (Have fun!).
* When it comes to your duty pistol and taser; they no longer have a pistol whip function!
* This Mod also includes an add-on to allow you to utilize a non-lethal beanbag/salt shotgun setting!
This is one of my first Mod releases and is a work in progress, so criticize accordingly! I wasn't going to release this; but it worked very well for me, so I wanted to share with everyone. I am open to any suggestions, advice, or constructive criticism. ALSO, please note I am running on a low-end computer, so my screenshots look pretty terrible.

Sooo i did a no0b mistake.The non lethal shotgun works OK!my mistake.I put it to a wrong path (common path).BUT the nightstick still one shot peds.http://prntscr.com/e984y3 Do i need a standar one.I use the one that lspdfr gives me.Its called nightstick

I stabbed a ped with a knife for more than 30 times, and he still got up and ran.....
@Techengage There's nothing wrong with your file path. It's the correct one.
does this mod affect missions? like the one where you beat simeon or rocco.
@HausThePlagueDoctor It's recommended for LSPDFR only. If you play SP, I recommend reverting to the original files.
@jjro I might care enough to fix this, but probably not. Once again, this is meant for LSPDFR. What's the last time a police officer stabbed someone with a knife?

@jjro @Stryfaar @Techengage Is there a way to fix it? Im using it with LSPDFR and it's not that im stabbing people its that when i repsond too like a person with a knife and they start stabbing me it's realistic that they should be able to kill me. Most body armors aren't stab proof
@Techengage I'm trying to use this on my FiveM server and was wondering if you could help. Under __resource.lua I don't know what to put as the xxx data_file 'xxx' 'data/damages.meta' --- an example for a different one is data_file 'VEHICLE_VARIATION_FILE' 'data/carvariations.meta'

Is it possible to put this file/script on a FiveM server?
Currently using this myself and it's excellent. Finally I can subdue someone in hand-to-hand without backhanding them to death in one punch! I love the beanbag shotgun setting too, remember to tint your shotgun orange so it's shown as less-lethal! If you still want to use a lethal shotty, use the Mk2 variant.
All you folks saying knives don't kill now, just go into the file this edits yourself and set knife damage back to full again.
I was realky enyojing when I noticed the cops use the gun selection in a wrong way. For example when there's someone Is shooting, the cop use the stungun. Can someone help me thanks?
which lines do I change for this? I don't want to replace the files because of a mod.
