i apologize if this was asked before, i've searched past year's comments. are there any paramaters i can mass-edit to reduce damage to levels comparable to gta iv or vanilla v? i like realism but oftemtimes i just wanna have a chill and forgiving playsession, and it gets frustrating when my wheels get stuck after a few hits and i have to steal myself a new car
@Barricaded i've looked in it before asking, and there's no option to change the skip hotkey
is there any way to reassign the skip key to something like F for keyboard? enter is too far to reach everytime
@PermissionToLand i agree, IV has great driving physics on itself. i like your mod because it has the most similar feeling to it for V, but even more enjoyable to drive because of better variety between vehicles and overall more realistic handling and finer controls (though i feel cars get damaged too quickly and become undriveable, but that's minor). this approach would've been a great fit for IV too, cause it doesn't have any good realistic driving mod for my taste. would love to see it someday if you decide to port it
i don't mean it as a request. i'm just wondering if it can be a relatively simple process like converting v values to iv, considering that ivpack authors already found a way to adapt handling from iv to v. maybe they did it with some formula or manually, i don't know much about modding to tell
not an issue with the pack, i love the mod, but can you recommend a similar handling mod for gta iv? or perhaps, since you've already implemented your handling edits for most iv vehicles in this pack, could you port these edits into a gta iv mod if it doesn't take too much effort?
@PermissionToLand sorry for the late reply, kind of forgot about it, maybe some other mod was the issue then, i had a very small modlist installed though and thought this one was the issue, sorry for the false alarm then. maybe it was immersive combat, or some script mods i\ve used might have been outdated and bugged (maybe roadkill.dll ). for the record, any slightest impact, not necessary an overtake, resulted in driver's death, whether ot was them hitting my car or vice-versa it was mostly me hitting them very slightly from behind or on the turn
i love the mod, feels really similar to the gta iv style handling which is what i was looking for, but is it possible to make npc drivers less prone to dying on the slightest crash impact? i get that it's probably realistic, but it kind of ruins the balance for me. i've been playing that story mode missiion for davin weston where you need to race two drivers on a highway, and even if i avoid their cars as much as possible, they just hit my car slightly themselves when i overtake them and instantly die, making the mission fail, it's really annoying
