@TR71777 hmm this is a frustrating problem bc I can't replicate it to figure it out. I'm running it of ideas. Maybe try replacing the original file too and skip the mods folder (make a backup by just dragging original uppr_diff_012_a.ytd file to desktop). I don't think this will fix it but it's the only other place I can think of where the Snake A file will still be located.
I noticed on the braves jacket mod that someone else uploaded, a commenter asked how to delete the old jacket, presumably having the same problem as you are having now, but was never answered with a solution, other people didn't have a problem. I'm at work now but I'll try to investigate further when I can get back on my PC.
@TR71777 hmm, that is weird, I haven't had that happen to me so I'm not sure how to update it to fix it. If anyone else's is doing this, let me know. Are the sweatshirts and hats working ok?
First in OpenIV navigate to mods>x64v.rpf>models>cdimages>streamedped_players.rpf>player_one
Make sure there is only one uppr_diff_12_a_uni.ytd
If there is two open each one and delete the .ytd file that is not the Cowboys.
If there is just one, open it up and make sure there is only one picture in the .ytd file.
If you open up uppr_diff_12_a_uni.ytd and delete the old SnakeA DDS file and replace it with this (Make sure its name uppr_diff_12_a_uni) I have no idea why the Snake A would show up since it has been deleted from the game files.
Once youve replace the file, you can scroll up to uppr_diff_12_u (drawbale dictionary) and open that up to view the model. It should be just the cowboys jacket with no Snake A on it.
PS, Was working on your jersey idea but its A LOT of work for every team. As there is no football jersey model in the game I had to do it with a tshirt. The fonts aren't exact but here is an idea of how its come out.

If you open up uppr_diff_004_a.ytd and replace the old white t shirt file with that png file, it should replace it to a cowboys jersey.
