A Scuba Job mod, allowing players to engage in underwater salvage missions. It includes features such as purchasing diving gear, renting boats, locating underwater crates, salvaging loot, and selling collected items at a pawn shop.
Optional: Use it for better visual experience - New Underwater Experience (by tall70) -
Features
- A customizable menu allows players to buy diving gear, rent boats, and start/stop missions.
- Menu options are dynamically enabled or disabled based on the player's progress (e.g., owning gear or renting a boat).
- Underwater locations, HUD position, and keybindings are stored in an INI file for customization.
- Missions involve renting a boat, navigating to underwater locations, and salvaging crates containing valuable items.
- Players return the boat after completing the mission to receive a deposit refund.
- Salvaged crates contain randomized loot, including money, rare items, and collectibles.
- Players can sell collected items at a designated pawn shop location for in-game cash.
- Players have limited oxygen while underwater, which depletes faster at greater depths.
- Oxygen replenishes when the player surfaces or stays near the water's surface.

How to Install:
1. Put pablito_pawnshop folder here \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks
2. Open dlclist.xml (\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml) and add dlcpacks:/pablito_pawnshop/ after the last line and save it
3. Put Scuba Job.dll, Scuba Job.pdb and Scuba Job.ini into the "scripts" folder

Fun! This could expand very cool where you have special missions where it's something like a sunken cargo ship and maybe with some upgrades you can collect big crates with for example 100x fine watches or something like that
@The_Moon_Truther, Glad you like it! That’s an awesome idea—special missions like salvaging a sunken cargo ship could add a whole new level of excitement. The idea of big crates with high-value items like fine watches sounds really cool. I’ll definitely consider adding something like this in future updates!
@MNHC Awesome! You could also do recovering cartel drug shipments. Either finding them and then doing a risky sell mission and meeting with different gangs hoping you don't get robbed, or even getting calls to recover shipments for cartels lol

This mod is very ambitious and I hope that it continues to get updates to flesh it out.
After a few trials, I heavily enjoyed this mod the main issue is that there are not enough locations. My suggestion would be rather than collect a bunch of crates in one location, have us collect a crate or a few at different underwater locations already on the map like the whale skeleton, ufo, abandoned submarine station, etc. also please do not forget about the lake or swamp as locations to dive in as well! Fantastic job so far!!
This looks like a awesome mod, unfortunately once i start the mission the "All crates salvaged!" pop-up appears and none of the underwater locations blips shows on the map. Note that i have NVE installed.
@Q404, Thank you for your support and for taking the time to try out the mod! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. Expanding the number of locations is definitely something I'm considering for future updates, and I really like your idea of incorporating existing underwater landmarks like the whale skeleton, UFO, and abandoned submarine station. The lake and swamp are great suggestions too—I’ll look into adding more variety to dive spots!
@elpedron, Thanks for checking out the mod! Sorry to hear you're running into this issue. The "All crates salvaged!" message appearing immediately suggests that something might be interfering with the objective system. Since you're using NVE, it's possible that a conflict exists with map modifications or blip rendering.
Could you try running the mod without NVE enabled and see if the issue persists? Also, make sure all required dependencies are installed and that there are no conflicting mods altering underwater areas. Let me know what you find, and I’ll do my best to help!
@MNHC This is an amazing script, I was using Raider's Rapid Shark Spawns 2: Feeding Frenzy Boogaloo and the Jaws shark replacement to give your script more of a challenge. 😆
Any possibility to have a version without the MLO? Something Vanilla if possible?
