I'm really not sure what a good name for this would be.
This is a really simple mod that adds a bloody vignette around your screen as you lose health. It should kick on somewhere around half health and fade in as you get closer to death.
I made this mod with the intention of improving first person combat, as I often find myself suddenly dead without realizing where all my health actually went. It's hard to keep an eye on the health bar in intense first person firefights, so for me, this is a better indicator of when you need to hightail it out of combat.
--Installation--
-Make sure you have Script Hook V, Community Script Hook V .NET, and NativeUI installed first.
-Unpack the zip to your Grand Theft Auto V installation. To be clear, make sure BloodOverlay.dll AND the BloodOverlay folder go into your /scripts folder.
--Customization--
This mod was designed for 16:9 resolutions (like 1920x1080) and displays kind of funky in 4:3 resolutions (like 1280x1024). If you'd like, you can swap out the images in the BloodOverlay folder with whatever you'd like, at whatever resolution you'd like. Just make sure the filenames stay the same, and that all 10 remain in the folder. It will probably crash if any of the images are missing, renamed, or the file type is changed.

Looks great. Exactly what I was wanting and I didn't even know it
do scam bots exist on gta 5 mods???
Amazing mod, but a thing that would make the mod a bit greater would be if you added black and white vision+ the blood overlay when the health was at its lowest. I dont know if this would be hard to do or if its even possible, but if you want that it would be very nice.
@Soxzl you might want this then https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/gtaextended-player-feedback
@ReNNie Thanks for the link 👍
@ReNNie Wow, this is the mod that inspired me to make mine! I saw it while browsing a while ago, didn't download it at the time, and couldn't remember the name of it later, couldn't find it by searching either. Thanks for linking!
Does anyone know of any other low health indicator mods?
@Drummaniac17 Looks good, just needs to have bloody vignetting effect not overlap the hud elements of the UI.
i used it and it works and is good but no script will work till alexander blade update his script hook v
@Drummaniac17 I know its a late response, but i found this mod: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/gsw-gunshot-wound
Can you give us the option to change the threshold of when the blood effects start? I'd prefer it to begin around 30% health or only when the vanilla health bar turns red and fade in from there.
Great Mod and accidently found it's way into my 'repair Mod' vid demos - gave you a shoutout.
@Eingenvector I just renumbered the pics in the file to give me the initial effect stronger. You could replace the earlier pics to fade off and the later ones to be stronger. As long as you keep the pic file name the same, you can put any pic in. B/up the orig.
Make Mod Damage Indicator as in call of duty and csgo and Left 4 Dead 2 to point out where he was be shot and punched by ememies, Just like this red http://orcz.com/File:C3damaginindicator.png
